Most of the fireworks and associated wiring have been completed - now we all wait for the sun to set - the show generally starts around 10 PM. The firefighters take a quick break earlier in the evening for a group photo. As dusk quickly approaches local residents continue to pour into the park or gather at other locations where they can see the show such as the Acton Legion. Some play with sparklers as they wait for the fireworks. As the sky darkens and fades to black the fireworks begin to fly into the air. Large colourful explosions fill the night and part of the firework's cardboard casing float down to the ground.
