The rain had finally fallen in Southern Ontario and the cool evening was refreshing. The water drops remained on the long grass running along the edge of Fairy Lake.

And now that summer is here I think of the Band cottage visit coming up in August and the Acton Fall Fair during September 14th to the 16th. I always liked the old building in the park where they put up the sign announcing the dates for the Fair.

The girls - Ann, Lorrie and Suzanne, head out for a couple of days away and stay in the little town of Port Bruce on the shores of Lake Erie. Lorrie (top) and Ann have just joined the circus and have hopped a train to start their circus lives - the hobos. Suzanne (left, below) and Lorrie stop to smell the flowers.

Erin visits with her grandparents in Milton so while she is having fun with a friend at Nana's I explore a bit of the surrounding area including Milton's Mill Pond, which is now a great park. The trails along the south edge run between the pond and the creek and the canopy of trees is reflected in the pond, above. The honey bee, below, is in too much of a hurry as it rushes from flower to flower.
