Erin worked with her friends on a school project and also stayed over at Brianna's Emu farm. In the morning when we picked up Erin we went to visit the cute little bunnies and each of the girls cuddled with one.

I believe that we had the largest snow storm this winter - it started Friday night and continued fast and furious all through Saturday. We got over a foot of snow and we had to dig ourselves out on the Sunday. Our lawns have over a metre of snow just waiting for the spring melt to come (please come soon).

As we hid from the snow we put the day to good use as we are replacing our kitchen and dining room floor with new subfloor and commercial tiles. It was a lot of work just getting some of the old tiles out and putting in the new subfloor. Today we will work at putting the new tiles on. Woo Woo winter is fun.

I was going home last week when I noticed a raptor of some type had caught some small rodent in a field. Stopping to take a picture I hoped to get a close up of his face but I wasn't fast enough and he took off with his dinner in his claws.

We finally finished the flooring project one week after we had started - it was a true home repair job - with a few problems along the way.

Spring is approaching fast and today the temperature was above zero and the sun was shining.

Erin is no longer a tween as on her 13th birthday she has officially become a teenager. The girls gather for a drink during her party.

On our way into the Big Smoke we stop by Cherry Beach and walk the sandy beach while the sun shines brightly, it was still cool but the sun made us feel better. Erin is on a tree that looks like it is running away from Cherry Beach. No lifeguard was on duty so if you go in for a swim be extra careful! Wikipedia has an interesting note regarding the "Cherry Beach Express." This is also the place where many windsurfters come to try their luck.

Erin brought some bubble blowing equipment so we created swarms of bubbles floating in the air along the shores of Lake Ontario. Later as we were leaving we drove around the road that circles in front of the change room. Some of the winter runoff had gathered in a huge puddle so we drove our car around the circle a few times throwing up huge sprays of water.
