While the trees
for the most part remain green there are some areas where some of the trees
have started the seasons fall colour change.
This tree is just
a few doors down from our own house. Winter is coming and they say it will
be below average in temperatures. The bees are still working though - just
like I found last labour day.

Acton Quarry open
house
Dufferin Aggregates
held their annual open house at the Acton Quarry. The get together is a
chance to meet with their neighbours and interact with the community. They
moved the event onto the floor of the quarry and there were buses to take
people on tours of the site. Of course I took the time to get pictures
of Erin in the tire of a gigantic Caterpillar dump truck.

Halton was on hand with some birds of Prey including Katy - an American
Kestrel.
Erin, joined by
Emily, is currently fighting it out in the 2008 Acton Soccer tournament
- girls 13 and under, this week. Her final games are scheduled for Sunday
in Hillsburgh and Acton. Here are most of the girls after the mid day pizza
break at MSB school. They tied both their Saturday games.
We also ran into
a cute little doggie with his tongue sticking out.
