More and more
trees are changing colours around town. Here is a view from along Highway
25 south of Acton. It is almost time for a waterfall tour and a drive up
north to see some beautiful fall vistas.

Silvercreek
Erin and I grabbed
some boots and headed out to Silvercreek Falls just off of Trafalgar Road
between Acton and Georgetown. It was a dull, rainy day and rather than
stay indoors I decided to see what the forest is looking like around the
Acton area. There were a few reds and yellows but this area is still mostly
green. I was in the creek with bare feet and the water was comfortable
enough - I just had to keep my balance on the slippery rocks.
There were a couple
small lobsters that obviously crawled up from the east coast of Canada,
through the St Lawrence and into Lake Ontario and then finally struggling
up the creek to where I caught him in a little lobster trap. Mmmm, with
a little butter that's some good eats.

Dodge Rodeo
Hold on tight
pardner! We returned to the Ontario
Dodge Rodeo held at Mississauga's Hershey Centre and had a great time.
The event costs only $18 and has three hours of entertainment which included
calf roping, barrel racing, bull riding and other cowboy and cowgirl stuff.
For more pictures of the event please click
to my page here. There were a lot of people wearing cowboy hats to
the arena so if you have a hat bring it to the rodeo.
It also looks
like we will make the trip to Orangeville for the New Years Eve Rodeo.

Sam, Sam the record
man
A maintenance
person on a person lift works on the Sam the record man sign in downtown
Toronto. The lift arm looks slightly like a record player arm so it looks
like they are rocking Toronto.

Side road fall
Fall leaves in
a pot - taken at Sheridan Nurseries in Glen Williams.
A sideroad in
Halton Hills comes down a hill in a few steps - it reminds me of the fall
fair slide ride.

Frog pond in early
fall
I head out along
the Black Creek tributary which runs by Frog pond. The colours are at about
15% with a lot of yellows and reds mixed in amongst the green. More frog
pond fall pictures on the next page.
