Beardmore Leather Tannery Property (Acton, Ontario): There are two guardhouses on either side of the driveway at the entrance on Elgin Street South, just south of Agnes Street. They have taken a beating from vandals and have been badly damaged and set on fire. A recent addition to the guardhouses are fences to protect the remaining structures.

The main gate of the tannery property stands locked - it is hard to believe how things can change and a thriving business that employed so many has disappeared and the site now sits empty.

The trail runs along the northern edge of the former Tannery property. This part is from right in front of the gatehouse looking towards Frederick St S. This pathway also includes a sewer and a hydro line and some great trees.
